Viking 3 qt saute cassrole

After 40 years my wife has decided to upgrade her pots and pans. This viking is the first. We decided to go with the best after trying most of the rest. The fit and finish are perfect. The heft is amazing. The helper handles are just right. Will add more after a few meals.

Quality, quality, quality

This is my first piece of Viking cookware. I have All-Clad and Mauviel and Le Creuset, Lodge cast iron and a couple of el cheapo pans. This pan performs absolutely beautifully. Best I've ever used. Bar none. I love my other pots and pans, and each has it's optimal use, but this is the least prissy and out performs the others. It beats All-clad tri-ply hands down... It's 7 plys of non-prissiness, it's a gourmet professional workhorse. Can't believe how well it cooks. The sooner you buy these, the greater the value, because they are lifetime pieces. I used this pan last night to make a bechamel-based turkey tetrazinni that went from stove to oven to table beautifully. It turned out one of the best dishes Ive ever made. Loved this casserole so well, I went out and bought the reduction pan today. Can't wait to use it. My pan says its made in Belgium (not US). It's heavy duty, but not unwieldy. I wonder why Viking isn't more extolled? It truly deserves it. Handle stays cool, too.
Expensive, but you are paying for professional lifetime quality. So much money... But I feel it is better spent on quality than spent on replacements.

Viking Pan

While Viking is a little higher in price, it is well worth the cost. It is the best pans we have every used (and we have had all kinds of them). They are excellent to cook in (it takes some getting used to, but stay with it) and we are very impressed with the quality/durability. I have my own set, this purchase was for a starter for my son in his new home.
It was delivered on time, very well packaged.
